Spoken and Communicative English Course by GREC
Part A: The Course
1. General Description
The Spoken English course focuses on improving confidence and the fluency of the student when Speaking in English in Social, Academic and Profession settings. This course aims to improve the student’s ability to communicate relevantly and effectively in English.
The development of English happens at multi-faceted levels. The Spoken English Course at GREC has been set with specific target lessons that cover all of these facets, namely: vocabulary learning and grammar development, pronunciation, intonation, gambits for conversations, understanding and applying the norm of turn-taking, and so on… The course also aims to maximise the student speaking-time with the aid of group – work and pair assignments. When learning a language, we recognize the significance of confidence building through practice that is absolutely essential in development of learning a new language.
Our teachers at GREC understand that the skills used for teaching are paramount to a successful English Speaking Course. The course has stimulating and fun lessons that engage the learners to express fluently.
2. Who can take this course
Anyone Non-Native English Speaker, or anyone wishes to improve fluency and correctness of the expressions required in Spoken English.
3. Duration of the Course
Total 36 classes. Each class is 90-minute long. Generally, three classes are conducted per week. Therefore,
- Total duration: 3 months
- Total contact time with teacher: at least 3240 minutes.
- Total validity of online account: 6 months
4. Mode of delivering the didactic lessons and Speaking Practice Sessions
- Conventional hybrid (on-site and online)
- Online only (called DL or Distance-Learning).
Due to COVID-19, GREC suspended or significantly minimized their conventional on-site classes.
